This comprehensive lecture seminar will concentrate on the surgical aspects of implant complications. We will go through success and failure analysis of dental implants, examine criteria of success from the historical and modern perspectives, and concentrate on the peri-implant disease. We will examine peri-implantitis and different options of its treatment with an emphasis on the surgical debridement. We will also examine the foundational principles of dental implant success, and discuss the bone grafting and bone augmentation techniques, as well as soft tissue grafting as the necessary foundation for the health and longevity of dental implants.
