Bone and soft tissue loss are a reality in implantology. Most cases require some form of tissue graft or another and there are very few that have the requisite structure in place for ideal treatment outcomes. Long-term aesthetic stability and health of an implant is dependent on both bone and soft tissue. The symbiotic relationship between the two is crucial for long-term success. This lecture series will go through the different protocols and share insight into achieving predictable results with both bone and soft tissue grafting. We will share hints and tips accumulated over years of practice, including failures and successes with different treatment options.
Learning Objectives:
identify key issues to achieve predictable bone grafting
Be able to choose the correct bone grafting technique for the correct defect
Understand that minimalist treatment is not always the right protocol for bone and soft tissue grafting
